Amazon Reforestation Project (ARP), Inc. is now a member of the American Carbon Registry The policies around forestry offsets in relation to CA's AB32 are still in formation. As it stands right now 8% of
these related offsets approximately 74.5 million metric tons can come from non domestic sources (i.e. Brazil or Mexico). ARP
is now a member of the American Carbon Registry (ACR) which is of strategic importance for several reasons including: 1.)
ACR has an established track record for providing high quality offsets to top tier energy companies (i.e. Duke and Entergy); 2.) Is one of the leaders in creating standards for adoption for systems such as AB32 (Currently have three standards under
consideration by CA); and 3.) Has created it's own forestry standard that has been peered reviewed and confirmed by leading
industry experts.
